Day one

           Cammy was all organised and at ashley rd before 10 am packed and ready to go , I was still doing some last Minuit organising deciding on if I should take a full tool kit or not , I had already packed way more stuff than I was ever going to need which is one of the downsides of taking your car on holiday you have lots of space to carry stuff just in case , 

        Off we went and I reset the speedometer we drove 100 yds to park outside the bull to have a coffee and do some planning with Bryan , it seemed weird sitting in the black bull bar drinking coffee not beer with the managers dave and Bryan ! Bryan made a phone call to his mate Ian that lives in Bulgaria to tell him to expect us next week and we got his number to call when we get there  

 Sam lives in Edinburgh and is getting married to tam on the 24th so we checked she would be home and said we would pop in to visit her on our way to Newcastle ,when we got to her house and rang the bell and chapped the door there was no answer ! This was the first mistake the sat nav I had bought would have saved us time , I phoned Sam saying where are you and I was at the wrong door one street down ( it looked the same house ) we had coffee with Sam and aria and promised to wear our kilts to the wedding , cammy wanted to drive the first section we stopped at the asda in Dunbar got beer and snacks and I took over the driving 

       The drive to Newcastle was uneventful and pleasant we considered a stop at the border with England for a photo at our first border crossing but changed our mind , it was a nice sunny day and we had our two favourite bands CDs on stiff little fingers and the proclaimers cammy bought their new album for the trip , we paid our £1,60 toll and went through the Tyne tunnel only to discover we were now on the wrong side of the river and had to go back through and pay again to get to the ferry terminal ! Sat nav still in its box DOH , we drove onto deck 3 and grabbed our overnight bags and some beers and found our way to our wee room 

        The boat was full off party people Geordies and Glaswegians mostly, but all  on the drink and a few obvious weed smokers , we picked the bar where there was two live bands to entertain us and had a few beers with an excellent pizza from one of the restaurants , while we were at the bar cammy said he was switching off data roaming as we were now on some maritime signal and there was no wifi on the ship we had only been off the shore for under 3hrs I discovered the next day I've been severely charged for Internet usage via 3mobile because I never switched of data roaming as soon as we left port ,we weren't interested in the casino or night club and went to our bunks , it was just before midnight we were in bed ear plugs in and then next door kicked off their loud music ! I rattle the wall they rattled back so I chapped their door and had to politely tell two drunk young Girls to keep their music down I was driving in the morning
